Commissions
Here you will find a glimpse into my commission portfolio, whereby works range from individual and personal commissions for friends and family, to professional contracts for business.

Commission FAQ's
WHERE DO I BEGIN?
When taking on your commission, I always like to have a thorough chat with you to obtain your expectations and what you want to get out of a personal commission.
Have a read of the 'WHAT DO I NEED TO CONSIDER?' section below, and enquire via the contact form.
WHAT DO I NEED TO CONSIDER?
Before submitting an enquiry, please do have a think about what you would like me to illustrate, see the prompts below to get an idea:
1. SUBJECT - What would you like me to illustrate?
2. SCALE - How big would you like the piece to be? (Small tabletop print, larger A3-A2 print?)
3. BUDGET - What is the minimum/maximum you would like to spend? Although it can be quite daunting thinking about price when it comes to paying for artwork, consider what you would be happy to pay and share that with me. By doing this, we can both work together to obtain what is achievable within your budget and I can clearly outline the amount of detail used within the piece, the scale/size, as well as the end product.
4. STYLE - Why would you like ME in particular to do a commission? By this I mean, is there any specific piece of work by myself that initially attracted you? Let me know, show me which piece/product is a great starting point to influence your commission.
5. COLOUR - What colour palette would you like me to use? Is the piece for a specific room in your house that has a tight colour scheme you'd like me to match? Is the piece a gift for someone you know loves the colour pink? etc.
6. PERSONALITY - Probably the most important when drawing people or pets as I like to capture their specific character traits within my illustrations. Are you a particularly clumsy person? Is your cat always asleep and bothered when you interact with them? Is your friend a mad box of frogs? Let me know when we discuss subject.
7. REFERENCE IMAGES - I always love receiving reference images, whether of yourself, friends, family, pets, animals, scenes, whatever we discuss about illustrating, I'd love lots of images of this subject. Have a little look in your camera roll for inspiration.
8. TIME FRAME - What is the deadline we are working towards? Is this piece a gift for a birthday? Are you having a house-warming party and would like the piece as a conversation starter?
8. Finally, END GOAL - What would you like to get out of commissioning me to illustrate for you? Do you require a hard copy of the piece? Do you want it framed? Would you just like a digital version? Is this design for an invitation or greetings card?
Have a think about all these aspects and evaluate what you'd like to get out of a commission.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE?
Depending on your requirements, it could take anywhere between 48 hours to 3 weeks.
During our consultation period, we will discuss all aspects of the design and I will give you a time frame.
You will be required to purchase a non-refundable deposit of 20% of the bespoke price we agree on. Please see the 'HOW DOES PAYMENT WORK?' for further details.
Within 24 hours of receiving your deposit payment, I will send you a sketch/sketches of ideas and compositions for your approval and notes in response to your requirements.
EXAMPLES:
If you're enquiring about a small digital file, for example, a stylised portrait shot to use as your profile picture, etc. then this could be done within 48 hours.
If you're enquiring about a larger piece for wall art, for example, an A4 illustration of your house with foliage and characters, and would like it as a digital file, then this could take anywhere between 3-5 days.
If you're enquiring about a larger piece (A4-A2) and want it printed* and posted to you, this could take anywhere between 2-3 weeks.
*I also offer framing for an additional charge, this only caters to artworks A6-A3 and no larger.
WHAT DO I NEED TO INCLUDE IN MY CONTACT FORM?
Please find below the contact form to get in touch for commission enquiries.
Please include your first and last name, a contact email which I can reach you on, a phone number (this will only be used as a backup form of contact when completing your commission if I receive no correspondence via email), and lastly, in the comments section, outline briefly your initial commission requirements, i.e. subject, scale, budget and time frame.
Press send and you're good to go! I aim to respond to enquiries within 48 hours.
HOW DOES PAYMENT WORK?
As a deposit for the piece and to ensure payment of the time, effort and resources used to sketch ideas, correspond and ultimately design the piece, 20% of the total cost of the piece is to be made when you have decided you'd like to commission myself.
By this I mean, after we have had a consultation and you're happy with the conversation and come to a conclusion of what we are going to do (this can either be email, direct message or a phone call), you will need to purchase a non-refundable ticket from my website. This will be a bespoke cost just for you that reflects 20% of the cost price and will be sent as an email or message to you.
This is to cover the partial cost of my time while doing the piece, in the event you change your mind or you don't like the outcome. (Of course, if the piece isn't what you imagined and you have notes before I finalise it, I will of course change elements such as colour or composition to make it perfect for you).
The deposit will be deducted from the final price and you will only pay the agreed amount unless discussed otherwise.
1. DIGITAL FILES - You will be required to pay in full before I transfer the digital file to you.
2. PRINTED PRODUCTS - If discussed during the consultation that you would like a printed product, the price will already be inclusive of the total cost. If you would like to get a printed copy AFTER consultation, then an additional cost will be calculated and discussed with you when you receive your final price.
3. PRINTING AFTER RECEIVING - If you opt for a digital file and after payment you decide you would like it printed, great! Just get in touch with me and I can absolutely do this for you at an additional cost.
